The gel consists of a hydrated polyurea\/polyurethane hybrid polymer containing propylene glycol. The gel on the side of the wound-contact layer prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound. It enables an atraumatic dressing change. Due to its structure, HydroTac can absorb wound exudate and release moisture. This provides the necessary moist wound environment which has a stimulating effect on wound healing. The non-border dressing can be cut into the desired size.
