Biatain Alginate Ag - All Sizes

Biatain® Alginate Ag is a highly absorbent silver alginate dressing for moderate to heavily exuding partial- to full-thickness wounds at risk of infection, including ulcers, burns, donor sites, and traumatic wounds. It is suitable for cavity filling, can be cut to fit wounds of any size or depth, conforms closely to the wound bed, and may be used under compression therapy. It should not be used on dry wounds or to control heavy bleeding.

On contact with exudate, the dressing forms a soft, cohesive gel that locks in fluid, reducing leakage and the risk of maceration while enabling one-piece removal. The alginate structure also provides a documented haemostatic effect, helping to control minor bleeding.

Biatain® Alginate Ag contains a patented ionic silver complex that releases silver ions in the presence of exudate, providing continuous broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity for up to seven days during wear time.
