Biatain IBU Non-Adhesive

Biatain® Ibu is a soft, flexible foam dressing with a unique 3D structure that conforms closely to the wound bed, providing superior absorption even under compression. Bevelled edges enhance comfort by reducing the risk of pressure marks, making it suitable for a wide range of low- to highly exuding acute and chronic wounds.

In the presence of wound exudate, Biatain® Ibu delivers a sustained local release of a low dose of ibuprofen for up to seven days, supporting moist wound healing while helping to relieve wound pain. Clinical studies have shown reduced pain compared with dressings without ibuprofen.

The dressing is composed of an absorbent polyurethane foam containing 0.5 mg/cm² of ibuprofen evenly distributed throughout the matrix. It is indicated for burns, donor sites, post-operative wounds, abrasions, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and non-infected diabetic foot ulcers, and can be used with compression therapy.
